At Wetlands Aquatics, we believe effective swim instruction goes beyond mastering strokes. It requires an understanding of how swimmers learn, process new information, respond to challenges, and develop confidence in unfamiliar environments.
Our approach integrates technical aquatic skills with psychological safety, developmental awareness, and progressive learning. We recognize that every swimmer arrives with a different level of experience, comfort, and readiness. By adapting instruction to the individual rather than forcing every swimmer through the same progression, we create opportunities for meaningful skill development without overlooking emotional comfort or essential water safety practices.
As a mobile aquatic education provider, we bring personalized instruction to private home pools, community pools, and other approved aquatic facilities throughout Los Angeles, Santa Clarita, and Ventura County communities. This flexible model allows us to work within familiar environments when possible, reduce unnecessary barriers to participation, and tailor instruction to each swimmer's needs.
Our goal is not simply to help people swim. It is to develop more capable, informed, and confident swimmers who understand their abilities, recognize aquatic risks, and approach the water with greater awareness and respect.

With five years of experience in aquatic instruction across school-based programs and independent instruction, Devin brings a thoughtful, individualized approach to teaching swimmers of all ages and abilities. As an American Red Cross-certified Water Safety Instructor (WSI) and CPR/AED-certified professional, Devin combines technical instruction with a strong understanding of how confidence, comprehension, and emotional readiness influence the learning process.
Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, Devin adapts instruction to each swimmer’s developmental stage, learning style, and comfort in the water. From helping young children establish foundational water safety skills to guiding older swimmers and adults toward greater independence, every class is designed to build skills progressively, reinforce sound decision-making, and foster lasting confidence.
Through Wetlands Aquatics, Devin is committed to making aquatic education more accessible, individualized, and safety-focused; helping swimmers develop not only the ability to move through the water, but also the knowledge and awareness to navigate aquatic environments more responsibly.

Wetlands Aquatics provides aquatic education through an American Red Cross-affiliated program. Founder Devin is an American Red Cross-certified Water Safety Instructor (WSI), a CPR/AED-certified professional, and holds valid lifeguarding certifications — bringing recognized training and a safety-centered approach to every class.
